What Are the Classifications of Optical Fiber Connectors?

SC type optical fiber connector connector
The large square head connector is the China wholesale fiber optic outlet box. Its shell is rectangular. The structural dimensions of the pin and coupling sleeve used are identical to those of the small square head (FC type).
The large square head jumper adopts the plug and pull pin latch type fastening method, which does not require rotation. The plug and pull operation is very convenient, and the insertion loss fluctuation is small. It has the advantages of strong compression resistance and high installation density.
LC type optical fiber connector connector
The small square head connector is LC type connector. The small square head connector adopts the modular jack (RJ) latch fastening method, which is plug and play. It is the most popular optical fiber jumper nowadays. It can effectively reduce the use of space and is suitable for high-density connection.
The round screw head connector is FC type connector. The round screw head connector adopts the fastening method of turnbuckle, and the external reinforcement method is metal sleeve. It is firm after being inserted into the equipment, and the connector is not easy to fall off. It is generally used on the ODF side (most used on the distribution frame)
It is generally used to connect the device port to the ODU on the optical disk.

Half Closure is also known as Butt Closure is the type of Fiber Optic Splice Enclosures that all the cable ports on the same side. They can be deployed above grade (aerial, pole, wall) or below grade (manhole, handhole). These closures can be used for fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployments and any type of optical fiber cable deployment in the outside plant.
Application
 ■ Applicable for the FTTx project and provide mechanical protection for a fiber management system that includes the functions of splicing, patching, and passive component integration.
 ■ Rated to IP68, suitable for indoor or outdoor application.
